This morning Mattydale firefighters, Mattydale EMS members, Mattydale Junior Fire Department members and Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department members joined together and conducted a live fire drill, focusing on fire suppression along with search and rescue while in compliance of NFPA 1403 which is the standard set for safety conducting live fires.
Today members were able to conduct 5 live fire evolutions. Each team was given a different task to conduct on the fire ground. Everyone did an excellent job today. Today we also were able to have five members reach their interior firefighter status within our department.
