The Mattydale Fire Department with the approval of the Salina Consolidated Fire District No. 2 (Board of Fire Commissioners) have approved a much anticipated by-law change (Article 11 Membership), allowing new members from outside of the Fire District to become members of the Mattydale Fire Department.

Last night during our live burn training at The Town of Onondaga Training Center, we had two members going for their interior firefighter status.
Both of these members have met all qualifications within the department and passed the NYS BEFO/IFO classes.

On Feb 22 at 0150, Mattydale Fire Department along with mutual aid companies from Hinsdale, Liverpool, Lyncourt, East Syracuse and Moyers Corners were alerted to a residential house fire in the Mattydale district.
